We are fortunate to have such a great slate of qualified candidates who, in our estimation, are great advocates for life, said ACRL PAC Communications Director, Cathie Humbarger. We were especially pleased that both Fort Wayne mayoral candidates, Tom Henry and Matt Kelty, met with us personally and affirmed their sincere pro-life commitment. However, their responses to the candidate surveys differed slightly, and we felt Kelty held an edge over Henry due to his considerable body of work in direct support of pro-life activities in the county, remarked Humbarger.

Of the 33 candidates contacted, only 19 responded to the survey, and of those, 12 met with the ACRL PAC at the PAC candidate forum held September 10th.

The endorsements were based, in part, on a survey each candidate was asked to complete and return to the PAC. Candidates who did not respond to the survey were not considered. The complete list of candidates and their survey responses will be published in the ACRL quarterly newsletter prior to the election, and in Voter Guides produced by ACRL and made available to the public.
