MAYOR HENRY AND Psd YORK- are cooking the books once again- there were 45 HOMICIDES- human deaths- not 32. also- there is lacking a listing of the raw numbers regarding the various crimes listed. which is still to high; and mostly SE quadrant.
and while the SE citizens were howling for help in 2014- where was the Mayor and then Chief York? hiding in a bunker? ignored the cries for HELP. EPIC FAIL!

      oops- typo- 2013- CITIZENS WERE HOWLING FOR HELP. i find it suspicious that then chief York did little- but suddenly- when he gets "kicked upstairs- crime takes a drop- homicides anyway. 
      robberies; thefts; larcenies, burglaries- are always high in the Se quadrant- and just a few select sectors all over town- which the cops just cant seem to ever get a grip on?
      crime stats- liars figure; figures lie. cook the books again; FWPD command staff; and MAYOR HENRY for a hard re-election wish

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and member of the city’s police department held a news conference Thursday morning to provide what was called a “progress report to the community” regarding crime in 2014.
    Based on statistics compiled of various criminal acts, the amount of crime in Fort Wayne dropped by more than 14 percent in 2014 compared to 2013.  The biggest drop came in the number of homicides.  There were just 12 in 2014, the lowest number in over 20 years.  In 2013, there were 32 homicides.

    Henry and Fort Wayne Police Chief Garry Hamilton cited numerous examples of what they considered to be highlights in the area of public safety in 2014:
    *Homicides declined by 62.5 percent.
    *Burglaries dropped by 26 percent
    *Robberies were down by 22 percent
    *Property crimes dropped by 14.6 percent
    *Violent crimes declined by 14 percent
    *Larceny declined by 11 percent
    *Assault dropped by 6 percent
    *Vehicle thefts were down by 5.7 percent
    *Overall crime declined by 14.5 percent
    *Formation of the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit
    *More open communication with residents
    *15 officers graduated from the Fort Wayne Police Department Recruit Class
    However there were categories that saw higher numbers in 2014; rape and arson.  Rapes were up from 95 in 2013 to 104 in 2014 and arsons increased from 29 in 2013 to 45 in 2014.
    The following areas were highlighted as initiatives for 2015:
    *61st Fort Wayne Police Department Recruit Class is underway with 24 recruits
    *Proactive efforts to enhance open communication and neighborhood outreach between police officers, residents, and businesses
    *Continuation of Roundtable on Public Safety sessions
